It is difficult to grow your church fundraisers. They are not the easiest events to get off the ground. You may come up against a resistance to change within your own organization or you may not have a firm grasp of everything that is involved. Organize Then Re-organize
More work goes into organizing ideas, church fundraiser marketing, and preparation than into the actual event. There will probably be a half dozen meetings before the final idea is hammered out. There is no such things as too much organization and too many records.
Communication
Can you imagine if the lines of communication about a fundraiser were closed? The early meetings will end up being brainstorming sessions until you iron out the exact fund raising idea you want to run with. Next will come the meetings about who to hire, what to serve, when to hold it, etc. The core idea will stay in place, but there will be many peripheral concepts that may stay fluid until the week before the event. Everyone needs to feel involved and communication has to remain open for a few weeks after the event to insure success then and in the future.
This Is Not A One Person Show
This is a very important idea to keep in mind. Repeat it to yourself over and over. The pressures of the event may make it seem that you are the only one that can accomplish what is needed, but others can help. Do not demand their help, delegate it. Always make it seem like no one else can to that particular job but them. Remember to say thank you even if it their responsibility to take care of an item. Each of the other members of the fundraiser committee may be just as lost and overwhelmed as you are. There is truly strength in numbers.
Church fundraiser ideas and organization will get you far along your path, but to get the job finished you will have to accept help. All of these things add up to a successful fundraiser and plenty of money for all of your ministries.
